DAYTON — A person was hospitalized and another was taken into custody after a shooting in Dayton on Sunday morning.

Around 9:15 a.m., police and medics were dispatched to the 1300 block of West Riverview Avenue on reports of a shooting, according to a Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Sergeant.

Upon arrival, crews found one male with gunshot wounds, according to Dayton Police Sgt. Sara Lipps.
The man was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with serious injuries.
Police took one person into custody, according to Sgt. Lipps.
The shooting remains under investigation by the Dayton Police Department.
