HARRISON TWP — UPDATE @ 8:15 A.M.
A man was injured after being shot in Montgomery County early Thursday.

Deputies responded at 5:11 a.m. to a reported shooting on Cromwell Place in Harrison Township, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
As reported on News Center 7 Daybreak, the scene was surrounded by sheriff’s cruisers and yellow caution tape.

When deputies arrived, they found a male victim and provided medical aid.
The victim was taken to a local hospital.
An initial investigation reveals that the suspect wore dark clothing and ran on foot after the shooting, the sheriff’s office said.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit continues to investigate the incident.
