GREENE COUNTY — A 34-year-old woman is dead after a crash in Greene County on Friday, according to a spokesperson with the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened on State Route 4 and Bath Road at approximately 3:38 p.m.

A preliminary investigation found that a 62-year-old Springfield man was driving a Ford F‑450 when he slowed to make a left turn.
Janea McBride, 34, of Columbus, was driving a Jeep Cherokee and hit the pickup truck from behind, the spokesperson said.
The impact caused both cars to leave the roadway.
McBride died on scene of the crash, according to the spokesperson.
A juvenile passenger in the pickup truck was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Springfield man wasn’t injured in this crash.
All lanes on State Route 4 northbound were closed for nearly five hours during the investigation.
This crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol Xenia Post.
