DAYTON — One person was hospitalized after a shooting that happened in Dayton early Saturday morning.

Officers and medics were dispatched to the 100 block of Melba Street around 12:30 a.m., according to a Montgomery County Regional Dispatcher.

Medics transported a male victim to an area hospital.
He was listed as being in non-life-threatening condition, according to police.
The shooting is being investigated by detectives from the Dayton Police Department’s Violent Offender Unit.
