DAYTON — UPDATE @ 11:20 P.M.
Firefighters continue to look for a man who went underwater in the Great Miami River on Sunday.

Dayton firefighters and rescue boats responded around 4:13 p.m. to the River Corridor Bikeway near Carillon Boulevard, according to a Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Sergeant.

Video and photos show river boats looking in the area under Interstate 75.
Dayton fire officials told News Center 7’s Kylie Bridgeman that this is now a recovery mission. It will resume at 8 a.m. on Monday.
In a 911 call obtained by News Center 7, the caller said that he saw a man go under near Carillon Park.
“I’m by the banks of the Great Miami River, and there was a guy in the middle of the river swimming,” the caller said. “I think he just went under.”
The caller said he could not go after him because the water was deep.
“I thought I heard him call for help,” he said. “His head was above water. That’s all I could see.”
Dayton fire officials said that the river is too dangerous to be in right now.
“If you look at the river, I mean, there’s some fast-moving currents. It’s not as terrible as it was,” said Chris Kinsler, Dayton Fire Department Chief. “The waters have definitely receded somewhat, but they’re still, I mean, it’s not lazy. It’s moving, you know; this is a swift-water river.”
Search and rescue crews will resume the search at around 8 a.m. on Monday.
