TROTWOOD — A local boys’ basketball team was honored for winning the state championship.

The Trotwood-Madison City School District hosted a celebration for the high school boys’ basketball team on Thursday night.
The Rams won the Division III Boys Basketball Championship on March 20, according to a previous News Center 7 report.

Darius Dennis made the game-winning basket with nine seconds left as Trotwood-Madison beat Steubenville, 48-47, at the UD Arena.
This was the school’s second boys’ basketball state title.
They last won the state championship in 2019.
Trotwood-Madison finished the season with a 23-4 record.
